US delivery

Your US orders,
delivered local

The United States is the market most brands want and the one most brands price wrong. Lumanora is the intelligence layer plus the crossing: we work out what your goods actually owe, move them over in bulk, clear them once, and hand each parcel to a domestic carrier for the last mile.

Flat 2%of order value. No markup on duty, no markup on freight.
800,000+duty and tax lines mapped. Verified June 2026.

End to end

What actually happens to a US order.

Six stages between your checkout and a US doorstep. The expensive part of cross-border is not the flying - it is paying to cross the border once per parcel. So we do it once per shipment.

1

Stage 01: Labelled at source

Before it leaves your warehouse, each US order is labelled for its destination - ready to be injected locally once it lands.

2

Stage 02: Consolidated

Your US orders travel together as one bulk shipment rather than as thousands of singles, each paying its own way across.

3

Stage 03: One crossing

The whole shipment makes a single border crossing into the United States. One crossing for the shipment, not one per parcel.

4

Stage 04: Cleared once

It clears US customs once, as a single entry, against the classification and tariff treatment we priced at your checkout.

5

Stage 05: Cross-docked in market

At the US cross-dock the shipment is broken down and each order is processed in market, already labelled and already cleared.

6

Stage 06: Delivered local

Each parcel is injected into the domestic carrier network and delivered like a local order, because by then it is one.

The working

One order, shown all the way down.

A US$200 women's suit, landed in the United States. This is the whole calculation, including the part most quotes leave until the customer is already annoyed.

Duty and tax land in the checkout before the customer pays, priced off the classification, not off a national average. Our fee is a flat 2% of order value: no markup on duty, no markup on freight.

Example model
US$4.00 instead of about US$12.00Example model - our flat 2% on a US$200 order, against a typical merchant of record fee of about 4-6% on the same order.
About US$8.00 back per orderExample model - the difference on that same US$200 order.
12-16% more profitExample model - US$8.00 on a US$200 order is 4% of order value; at healthy DTC net margins of about 25-33%, that is 12-16% more profit. Higher on thinner margins.

Illustrative, July 2026. Figures are an example model on one order and one classification, not a quote and not a guarantee. Your outcome varies by lane, value, weight, category and volume. The merchant of record comparison is to the category, at a typical published 4-6% - never to any named provider.

The shape of it

What we do, and what we do not.

We are not a 3PL wearing a software badge. We do not own the buildings and we do not own the trucks - and that is the point. We are the intelligence layer plus the crossing, which means we can pick the right building and the right truck for each lane instead of defending the ones we happen to own.

WE DO

The intelligence layer, and the crossing.

  • Model landed cost for the destination and return it to your checkout, before the customer pays.
  • Classify the goods, apply the tariff and tax rules, and price the crossing.
  • Consolidate, clear and file, then hand off to domestic delivery.
  • Charge a flat 2% of order value. No markup on duty, no markup on freight.
WE DO NOT

Everything we are honest about not being.

  • Own warehouses. We work with 3PL networks rather than running our own buildings.
  • Own or operate carriers. We inject into the domestic carriers that run the last mile, chosen per lane on service, reliability and cost.
  • Mark up your duty or your freight. The 2% is the whole fee.
  • Take your customer or your payout. Both stay yours.
  • Publish facility counts, carrier counts or parcel volumes. Those numbers would be a partner's, not ours, so we do not put them on our site.

Coverage

The US line is one of 800,000+ we maintain.

Classification is the whole game: the rate follows the code, and the wrong code is either an overcharge you eat or an underpayment that comes back for you. So we map the lines rather than estimate them.

The last mile

Delivered by the carriers already at the door.

Once your shipment is cleared and cross-docked, each parcel is injected into the domestic carrier network and delivered like a local order - chosen per lane on service, reliability and cost.

Send us a few SKUs and where they ship from. We will come back with the classification, the rate and what the crossing costs - on your goods, not on an example suit.
